Volunteering for SiLS

At the moment SiLS is developing a volunteer programme to make the delivery of the service even better. You, the service user may like to become a volunteer whilst using the service or after you have left. We think that volunteers can offer enormous value to the SiLS service and to individual service users.

In addition to support, service users are also often in need of connection with others to help with feelings of loneliness and  isolation. To have someone go with them on a walk, help with shopping or help to clear a garden, can help to build confidence as well as networks. These are activities volunteers family or friends could assist with, which would then free up staff to concentrate on the more specific areas of support.
